Garage in Gallatin, TN with a flake epoxy floor and a boat

Concrete that works as hard as you do

Life here moves between the lake, the farm and a growing list of new neighborhoods. A garage might hold a pontoon boat in summer and a tractor attachment in fall. A shop might double as a place to clean fish, rebuild a mower or store hay supplies. Concrete in these spaces takes a constant stream of water, fuel, mud and fertilizer. Left bare, it stains, dusts and absorbs moisture that makes the whole room smell damp. A properly installed coating seals the surface, reflects light and turns cleanup into a quick rinse.

We are a local crew dedicated to concrete coatings. We do the inspecting, grinding, repairing and coating ourselves, and we take the time to explain each step. You will not get a sales pitch from someone who has never held a grinder; you will talk to people who install floors for a living.

Humidity changes the rules

Middle Tennessee summers are muggy, and that matters for coatings. Warm, moist air condenses on cool slabs, especially in the morning, leaving a film of water that can ruin adhesion. Groundwater and clay beneath older slabs can push vapor up through the concrete. We test moisture before every job, track dew point during installation and choose primers that tolerate damp conditions when needed. These steps are invisible in the finished floor, but they decide whether it lasts.

Humidity also explains why many bare garage floors here feel sweaty and look blotchy. Sealing the surface reduces that dampness and keeps dust and mildew from building up in corners.

Our services

Preparation first, every time

We begin every project by diamond grinding the slab with equipment tied to HEPA dust extractors. Grinding removes laitance, old sealers, curing compounds and contamination, and leaves the surface porous enough for primer to soak in. Cracks are routed and filled, pitted areas are patched, and failing coatings are removed completely. In barns and shops with years of oil and fertilizer residue, we degrease and grind deeper until we reach clean concrete. Skipping this step is the reason so many store-bought coatings peel within a season.

Barns, shops and outbuildings

Rural properties often have detached shops, pole barns with concrete floors and equipment sheds. These buildings see heavy loads, tractor tires and agricultural chemicals. We install thicker epoxy systems with chemical-resistant topcoats and add texture where floors get wet. In tack rooms and wash bays, a coated floor resists urine, manure and cleaning products and makes it easier to keep the space sanitary.

New construction

Many newer homes come with plain gray garage slabs. Coating them early, while the concrete is still clean and uncracked, gives you the best possible result. New concrete should cure about a month before coating, and we can coordinate timing with builders or schedule shortly after you close.

Businesses around town

We work with shops on the square, restaurants, auto service garages, veterinary offices, gyms and manufacturers. Commercial floors are scheduled around operating hours, often at night or over weekends, and we provide data sheets and written scopes for property managers.

Frequently asked

How long does a garage coating take?

One to two days for most garages, with vehicles back on the floor a day or two later.

Can you coat a barn or shop floor?

Yes, as long as the concrete is in reasonable shape. We inspect first.

Will the floor be slick when wet?

We add texture appropriate to the space, especially in wash bays and entries.

Do you remove old paint?

Yes. Coatings applied over loose paint will fail, so we grind it off.

Keeping it clean

Sweep or blow out debris, rinse with a hose, and use a mild cleaner as needed. Lay a pad under kickstands and jack stands, and wipe up fuel and chemicals promptly. That simple care keeps a coated floor looking good for years.
